The Piedmont College production of Suzan Zeder's award-winning play, The Edge of Peace, marks the first time the public has been welcomed back to the theatre since February.

The Piedmont College Department of Theatre presented "Trojan Women" Sept. 10-13 at the Swanson Mainstage Theater.

The Southeast Region of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) had planned to have auditions the week of March 18. Due to COVID-19, students submitted recordings of their singing and auditions were done digitally. Piedmont had a total of seven students who participated in the event; two advanced.

Piedmont College Theatre presents the hilarious classic "Arsenic and Old Lace," Feb. 13-16.

The Piedmont College Theatre will be performing Cabaret beginning October 3rd through October 5th.

Several Piedmont students competed in the NATS competition at Florida State University.

Virginia Cleveland is giving a junior level voice recital on March 26, at 5:30 in the Piedmont College Chapel. Virginia is a senior history major at Piedmont, but she has been involved with the Piedmont College Chamber Singers, the Piedmont Chorale, and voice lessons for the last three years.

A recent second-place winner at the Southeast Regional National Association of Teachers of Singing competition and runner-up at the national NATS competition in Colorado, vocal performance major Chance Passmore (tenor) performs his senior recital. The Piedmont College Singers take on Florida for their spring tour.

Kristen Ellison's senior recital took place on February 12th, 2019 at 7:30pm in the Piedmont College Chapel.

The Piedmont Singers' Spring concert, titled "The Hope of Loving," will be held 7:30 p.m., March 7 in the Piedmont College Chapel.The concert is free, open to the public, and will explore various aspects of love. It will include works by Josu Elberdin, Thomas Tallis, Will Todd, Jake Runestad, William Walton, Johannes Brahms, Vaclovas Augustinas, Rene Clausen, Doris Nelson, and Moses Hogan.

Piedmont College Theatre presented And In This Corner: Cassius Clay in the Black Box Theater at the Swanson Center for the Performing Arts this past weekend, February 14-17 and 2 p.mDirected by Kathy Blandin and music directed by Amin Abraham-Quiles, And In This Corner: Cassius Clay is a historical drama about the life of a famous boxer, civil rights activist, and unlikely hero who we've come to know today as Muhammed Ali.

Piedmont College music major Adam Weisheit of Fayetteville, Georgia will present his senior piano recital 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 11 in the Chapel on the Demorest campus. Admission is free. Weisheit will perform four works by Rameau, Mozart, Bartok and Chopin.

The latest show Piedmont College Theatre is working on is a "tragicomedy" revolving around three sisters as they face their sins.

The Department of Music is pleased to announce that Diana Cleland (BA in Music 2018, MA Candidate in Education), piano student of Dr. Jeri-Mae Astolfi, has been awarded a collegiate grant from the Georgia Music Teachers Association.

Piedmont College Theatre opens its 2018-2019 season with the award-winning musical A Chorus Line September 27-29.
