Piedmont College freshmen gathered in the chapel Tuesday for a Convocation service to officially mark the start of the college's 121st year and to celebrate the academic achievments of students.

Piedmont College has recognized students from the 2015 Spring Semester who were selected as Dean's Scholars and named to the Dean's List. Students named as Dean's Scholars have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average for the semester, and students named to the Dean's List have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

Piedmont College held spring Commencement ceremonies at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center in Demorest. Some 385 students earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Education Specialist, and Doctoral degrees.

Piedmont College held a December Commencement ceremony at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center in Demorest. Some 135 students earned Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Arts, Master of Arts in Teaching, Education Specialist, and Doctoral degrees.
