The Piedmont College women's basketball team defeated Berea, their final opponent in their regular season, 74-67, on Sunday afternoon in the USA South Championship Tournament Final at Cave Arena. They team now heads to the NCAA Tournament.

The Piedmont men's and women's cross country programs were recognized by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association with the release of the All-Academic Team last Thursday, Feburary 14.

The Piedmont Singers' Spring concert, titled "The Hope of Loving," will be held 7:30 p.m., March 7 in the Piedmont College Chapel.The concert is free, open to the public, and will explore various aspects of love. It will include works by Josu Elberdin, Thomas Tallis, Will Todd, Jake Runestad, William Walton, Johannes Brahms, Vaclovas Augustinas, Rene Clausen, Doris Nelson, and Moses Hogan.

Piedmont College's Speech and Debate Team competed last weekend at the Georgia Intercollegiate Forensic Association State Championship Tournament, wining a total of six awards.

Piedmont Women's Lacrosse opened its season this past Friday, February 22, against Birmingham-Southern at our home Walker Athletic Complex lacrosse and soccer field.

Piedmont College's student newspaper, The Roar, attended the Georgia College Press Institute last Friday, February 15. Represented by nine students, The Roar and its editiors won a total of seven awards. Piedmont College Theatre presented And In This Corner: Cassius Clay in the Black Box Theater at the Swanson Center for the Performing Arts this past weekend, February 14-17 and 2 p.mDirected by Kathy Blandin and music directed by Amin Abraham-Quiles, And In This Corner: Cassius Clay is a historical drama about the life of a famous boxer, civil rights activist, and unlikely hero who we've come to know today as Muhammed Ali.

The Piedmont College soccer programs were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches on Thursday afternoon as both the men's and women's teams garnered Team Academic Awards.

The Piedmont College softball team was recently recognized for their academic success as a 2017-18 Easton/NFCA Academic Team by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Eleven individual players were also named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 academic year.

Piedmont has been awarded the President's Cup, which was established 40 years ago and recognizes USA South's top-performing athletic program. Piedmont claimed the Cup by a margin of six points over Methodist University.
