Piedmont College has awarded academic honors for the recently completed summer semester. Students named as Dean's Scholars for the semester have earned a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, and students named to the Dean's List have earned a grade-point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

Piedmont College held its winter Commencement ceremonies at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at the Johnny Mize Athletic Center in Demorest. Some 362 students earned their degrees, including 86 undergraduate students and 276 graduate students from the Demorest and Athens campuses.

At its recent summer commencement ceremony, Piedmont College in Demorest, Ga., awarded degrees to 216 students. Among the graduates were the following area residents:
