The Piedmont softball team swept a pair of contests February 21 to close out their Birmingham trip with a 6-5 win over Mt. St. Joseph in extra innings and a dominant 12-5 win over Belhaven.

Piedmont College's track and field teams participated in a meet for the fifth consecutive week at the Cougar Invitational in Smiths Station, Alabama, on February 20, but this time it marked the beginning of the outdoor track and field season for both programs. The Lions claimed first place in four events on the day.
