The latest win moves the Lady Lions to 4-0 in the USA South, with the team tied with Maryville and LaGrange atop the West Division standings. The win was also the team's fourth consecutive win by double digits.

After a loss to the Scots on Jan. 29, the Piedmont College men's basketball team rebounded the next day to earn an overtime victory at Covenant 69-62. The win moves the Lions to .500 on the season at 6-6 and handed Covenant its first loss in conference play.

Piedmont's USA South home opener was a thriller Jan. 22 as the Lions outlasted LaGrange 74-72, but the team came up short in a 67-62 loss to the Panthers the next day.
